Front Row Missing in Action and Something for Everyone at Thuy

Although Thuy's front row celebrity clientele was largely M.I.A at the fall 2009 show (one of the America's Next Top Model girls, Melrose, drummed up the most buzz—okay, she was kinda cool—they were the ones that missed out. The collection, which was a bit reminiscent of United Bamboo in its thick black coats, offered something for every occasion. A metallic frock, a purple-and-green swirled miniskirt, and an impeccably tailored cream three-button coat were standout pieces that could travel seamlessly from work to play, while chartreuse and cobalt dresses are perfect for day and a white silk dress, beaded in all the right places, a flawless piece for night. A slew of waist-belted blazers rounded out a collection that could really outfit a girl about town for weeks—as long as she can rock a pair of metallic drop-crotch trousers along with them.
