Rachel Odem, aka the Natural Beauty Expert, is a licensed skin therapist and makeup artist who has her own line of cosmetics called Makeup by Rachel O. She also happens to be a Chicagoan. In celebration of Odem's recent feature in Chicago Magazine and Ebony Beauty Awards, she's hosting an inspiring event called Celebrating Natural Beauty together with Miss Jessie's, Shea Moisture, Komaza Hair Care, Big Girl Cosmetics, and more natural beauty champions. “The Celebrating Natural Beauty event promises to inspire women and educate them on ways to appreciate their natural beauty." Odem says guests can look forward to Q&A, styling sessions, a fashion show featuring Pretty Afrika, African head-wrap demonstrations, and in general the chance to hang out with some inspiring women who know that the best beauty comes in the purest forms. The event takes place Saturday, September 10 from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., so gather your gals and spend your weekend learning something priceless.
