Dream Sale Alert: Shop Over 60 Designers (For A Good Cause)!

You know there's nothing better than when your shopping spree directly benefits an amazing cause, right? Well, one of the best causes around is helping out Japan's ongoing relief efforts in dealing with the devastation that still exists from last year's earthquake and tsunami. And the fact that you can do so by snatching up clothing from the likes of Alexander Wang, Proenza Schouler, Doo.Ri, VPL, Thakoon, Derek Lam, and more makes it all the more wonderful. Fashion Girls for Japan's designer sale is back for a second year, and they're bringing with them more than 60 rolling racks stuffed with goodies from more than 60 designers... for 50% or more off retail. Yes, really.

There's a $5 minimum donation to get into the sale, but for $50 you can buy an advanced ticket. And while that price is a little steep, it grants you separate entrance and likely means that you'll get your hands on the goods much more quickly than others — and when we're talking taking home the best designer picks, every extra second is precious. Plus, 100% of the proceeds from the sale goes directly towards Japan Society's Earthquake Relief Fund and the Home for All Foundation by KISYN, so you can rest assured that whatever you decide to spend will go to a very worthy cause. And since your closet will be happy, too, it's win-win all around. It doesn't get any better than that, right?

When: Saturday, March 31, from 12 to 7 p.m., and Sunday, April 1, from 12 to 5 p.m.

Where: The Bowery Hotel, 4 East 3rd Street (at Bowery); 212-505-9100; buy advance tickets here.
