This Is Our Jam: Desire, “Tears From Heaven”

Johnny Jewel, mastermind behind highly fashionable, Italo-leaning, pop projects Chromatics, Glass Candy, Symmetry, and more, is currently readying After Dark 2, the sequel to 2007’s now classic Italians Do It Better label compilation.
In anticipation of that release, Jewel has just dropped a new track and video for his Desire project with French singer Megan Louise. The song, "Tears From Heaven,” features Jewel’s signature analog synths along with Louise’s wispy vocals for a predictably sexy-melancholy-woeful sound. The visual accompaniment, by frequent Jewel conspirator Alberto Rossini (he’s the guy behind Chromatics' recent Karl Lagerfeld collab), features visually degraded footage of ballerinas dancing. Très chic.
