Daily Diversion: Go Outside!

Here at the office, we've been hunkered down for the past few months, dreaming of springtime and sunshine. On Saturday, we finally broke out the cat-eye sunnies and chiffon dresses. Lucky for us, the warm weather seems to be holding out (at least for now), which is why for today's Daily Diversion, we're suggesting you sneak an extra long lunch break and get the eff outside! A little UV goes a long way, and our favorite spot to soak up the sun is at the Irish Hunger Memorial in Battery Park. Brian Tolle and Gail Wittwer-Laird's architectural wonder (an Éire hill in the middle of a city!) is filled with gorgeous green vegetation that's been brought over from the emerald coasts of Ireland. When you're done marveling over the springtime blossoms, enjoy your lunch on the benches or picnic on the lush grass outside. Looking for takeout options nearby? We recommend trying the Gatehouse Restaurant for burgers or super-fresh sushi.
