4 Ways To Stay Social This Week

The F*cking Epic Twitter Quest of @MayorEmanuel Book Release, Tuesday, 9/6, 6 p.m. If you're not intrigued by the title alone, seek medical attention immediately. This is a release party for the book written by Dan Sinker, not actually a Rahm sighting waiting to happen, so calm down. Inject a little culture and education into your week, it can't hurt.
Hideout, 1354 West Wabansia Avenue (at North Ada Street); 773-227-4433.

Good Life Wednesdays at Spy Bar, Wednesday, 9/7, 10 p.m. Add this one to your docket every week, if you wish. Dance, make new friends, and hide from the old ones. Anything goes at this Chi-town dance fest. You might want to let a wing women know about this one, unless you like dancing alone, in which case, go you.
Spy Bar, 646 North Franklin Street (between Ontario and Erie Streets); 312-587-8779.

Windy City Wine Festival, Friday, 9/9 at 4 p.m. If the clinky-clinky of wine glasses is music to your ears, you won't want to be sitting at home for this one. Held at the Buckingham Fountain, the Windy City Wine festival is prime mingling and imbibing, Chicago-style. This very reasonably-priced wine tasting event will let you sample more than 270 wines from around the world. That is, if you ask us, pretty priceless. Windy City Wine Festival Buckingham Fountain, 541 North Fairbanks Court (at East Congress Parkway); 847-382-1480.

Busy Beaver Button Company's Button-O-Matic Series Release Party, Friday, 9/9 at 6 p.m. There is something so sweet and romantic about buttons. Those tiny little bits of nostalgia get us every time, and now those local button pushers at Busy Beaver are set to roll out a new series, Superhero. Check out work from local artists and goodies from local vendors. Put a pin in this one.
Busy Beaver Button Co., 3279 W. Armitage Avenue (between Spaulding and Sawyer Avenues); 773-645-3359.
