Taylor Swift Calls Boyfriend Calvin Harris By His Actual First Name

Taylor Swift is reportedly "head over heels" for music impresario Calvin Harris. So much so that she has decided to eschew her boyfriend's stage name for a more personal moniker: his actual name, which is Adam. A source close to Swift told Us Weekly that the "Blank Space" star always calls Harris by his birth name when they are in private. That makes sense to us. If they're really in a for-serious relationship, the idea that the singer would call her main man by something other than his given name is a little ludicrous. That said, the reason that the Scottish DJ-producer dropped his real name is a little silly. Apparently, he decided to be "Calvin Harris" instead of "Adam Wiles" because he thought the "racial ambiguity" would bode better for his career. "I thought people might not know if I was Black or not," Harris said in 2009, after his first soul-infused single dropped. "After that, I was stuck with it." Until now, apparently. Taylor Swift is setting the record straight, once and for all.
