Miley Cyrus Does Her Part To #FreeTheNipple

For over a year now, Miley Cyrus has been doing her part for a very important cause, close to all our hearts (literally): #FreeTheNipple. The movement aims to call attention to how ridiculous our standards of "decency" are when women's nipples are a taboo, but depiction of graphic violence is not, and it's received plenty of celebrity support. Over the weekend, however, Miley took her campaign to new heights on Instagram.
She posted a gorgeous black-and-white photo of herself lying down, topless, with a hand resting on her chest. "Some lame ass deff gonna [flag] that but f--kkkkkkk it. #practicewhatchupreach #FreeTheNipple #FreedatSh-t," she wrote, and sure enough, the post has since been taken down. (Thanks to E! Online for catching first.) Compared to the other ways in which she's flashed her intimate parts at the world, this is one of the most tasteful.

On the weirder side, and still staying put on Instagram, are a handful of doctored photos that feature the faces of a very young, definitely underage Miley, either strategically placed over the nipples of a torso-shot (probably not of Miley), and then pasted onto the heads of topless women (some pics may be her, others are not). Not quite sure if these are really getting the point across the way Miley wants them to, but they are right in line with other surreal memes the singer has started on her Instagram page. Last week, it was all about her obsession with pizza. Good to know she's moved on to higher pursuits.
Here's her first tweet for the movement, from last year:
