Bill Cosby's alleged sexual assault on several women took place over 30 years ago, but victims and inside sources are only really coming into national focus now. Except, a writer at Crushable noticed that the comedy industry seemed all too familiar with these notorious rumors about Cosby, even in 2009.
In season 3 of 30 Rock, there's an episode called "The Bubble." In it, Jack Donaghy tries to get Tracy Jordan to return to TGS. His strategy is to have a Cosby impersonator call him and convince him to come back to the show.
When Jack tells Tracy he has Bill Cosby on the line for him, Tracy loses it. "You got a lotta nerve gettin’ on the phone wit’ me after what you did to my Aunt Paulette!" Tracy shouts into the phone. "1971. Cincinnati. She was a cocktail waitress with the droopy eye! Jack! Why would you make me talk to this man?"
