Heineken & Sam Adams Are Boycotting The St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The LGBT community is getting some major support right now. The St. Patrick's Day Parade? Not so much.
Following the decision by the Boston Beer Company (which produces Sam Adams Lager) to pull its sponsorship from the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Beantown, Heineken has announced that it is also boycotting New York City's celebration tomorrow. Both beer companies are reacting to rulings that members of the LGBT community can march in the parades but cannot identify their sexual orientation by carrying signs.
"We believe in equality for all," a Heineken spokesperson has said. "We are no longer a sponsor of Monday's parade." Cheers to that.
Yes, you'll have to get your green beer elsewhere. But, isn't it nice to know that some are supporting that other rainbow on this Irish holiday? (Jezebel)
