Every year, there is a small handful of television shows that capture our attention and create watercooler buzz. One to add to the roster for 2014: Claws, a dark dramedy about strange ladies who work in a Florida nail salon. We know, it's kinda hard to picture there being enough substance to withstand an entire series. But, perhaps if we tell you that the show was developed by Rashida Jones and her writing and producing partner, Will McCormack (Celeste and Jessie Forever), you might change your mind.
According to Vulture, the dynamic duo just sold Claws to HBO. Even more, it's rumored that The Big Gay Sketch Show's Eliot Laurence is going to write and co-executive produce this curious watch. Yet, even with this information, we still don't really know what to expect out of such a crazy plot. Will the women really be scarier than Tabatha from Tabatha's Salon Takeover? Who knows, but we have a feeling it's going to change our mindset the next time we get a manicure. (Vulture)
