Ohioans! Yup, the good 'ol Midwestern state of Ohio has the most f-bombs dropped. (New York isn't even in the top five.) According to a new study of phone call data (specifically customer service calls), Ohio is home to the most profane Americans.
They were found to swear on about one out of every 150 phone conversations, which is twice as much as people in the most demure state (that would be Washington). Following Ohio in the cursing category are Maryland, New Jersey, and Louisiana respectively, while Illinois, Massachusetts, Arizona, Texas, and Virginia round out the least likely to curse.
