Guess Who Is Accepting Woody Allen’s Award For Him?

A well-known fact: Woody Allen does not like awards shows. Despite his many nominations and wins, he has been notably absent at the shows every year — he didn't even attend the 1978 Oscars when he won Best Director for Annie Hall. Though he made an exception in 2002 for a post-9/11 tribute to New York at the Oscars, don't expect him to resurface anytime soon.
Next month, Allen will be honored with the 2014 Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes, and we've just learned that Diane Keaton will be accepting the award on his behalf. Though we'd love to see Allen himself make an appearance, we couldn't think of a more fitting person to honor Allen than his longtime friend and Annie Hall co-star. (IMDB)
