The Araks spring '14 collection debuted recently, and it's a goodie. Full of soft, desert-faded hues in organic but modern shapes (like if Willa Cather moved to Brooklyn and became a gallery director), the spring offerings also contain plenty of styling tricks so you can get that Araks vibe without buying a head-to-toe look.
One of the most interesting combos? A crop-top-on-trapeze-top-on-palazzo-pant layering extravaganza that's the sartorial equivalent of a three-layer cake. Chances are you've got a swingy top lying around; wear a structured, cropped shell over it and voluminous pants in a contrasting color, and — voila! — instant peplum.
