Lorde Talks Rihanna With Clash Magazine

Lorde is quickly finding out the world is yours once you score a mega-hit in the U.S. "Royals" is still No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her debut LP Pure Heroine stands as the current fifth best-selling album, and she's already got some headline drama under her belt. It's safe to say that this 16-year-old is skyrocketing to the top.
The New Zealand export covers Clash Magazine's pop issue looking cosiderably less pop and more Game of Thrones, but that's to be expected from the notoriously anti-pop pop darling. What's not expected? Her love for Dr. Luke, the name behind Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Flo Rida, and Rihanna number one hits. "He’s pop royalty," she says. "I find what he does so fascinating." He certainly knows his way around a pop hook, but then again, so does Lorde in her own rejection of pop glamour. She wouldn't mind unleashing her influence on bigger stars, though. "Rihanna would be fun to write for because she’s done everything," Lorde says. She continues, "It’ll be such a challenge to step out of my body."
While a Lorde-penned Rihanna song sounds like a dream collaboration, it could be a stretch. However, her dream of working with Ellie Goulding is definitely something that could should happen — ASAP, we might add. (Clash)
