Nirvana & KISS Top List Of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Nominees

And now for some news that'll make you feel really old: 25 years ago, Nirvana released its debut album, which means that the legendary grunge rockers are finally eligible to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. (It also means that middle school was a long, long time ago — at least for some of us.)
The foundation just announced the 2014 list of nominees, which includes a mix of first-timers and last year's nominees who didn't make the cut. Among the newcomers are face-paint aficionados KISS, Hall & Oates, Peter Gabriel (who's technically already in the Hall, thanks to Genesis), Link Wray, Cat Stevens, and Linda Ronstadt. LL Cool J, N.W.A., and Deep Purple will be on the ballot again this year. While the inductees are determined by a voting body of about 600 performing artists, historians, and industry professionals, you can cast a vote, too — head to Rolling Stone, USA Today, and the Hall's official site before December 10 to make yourself heard.
