Jay Z And Chris Martin Use Public Transport In London, Freak Out Fellow Passengers

Jay Z, Chris Martin and Timbaland are global superstars, sure—but sometimes when you need to get from A to B, a pimped stretch Hummer convoy just won't cut it. The unlikely trio, and their entourage, rode a train on London's Underground network to a gig on Saturday night at the O2 Arena in the UK capital as part of Jay Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail World Tour. Naturally they freaked out the other passengers. According to reports, Jay Z refused to acknowledge proper London Underground etiquette by talking and laughing with fellow passengers instead of remaining staunchly silent and looking at the floor.

Of course they aren't the first high rollers to ride the city's public transport—Rihanna often takes to the Tube to arrive for London gigs. And in October 2012, Jay Z could be spotted rubbing elbows with the little people on the New York City subway.
We just can't decide if these down-with-people stunts are kind of awesome, a little be patronising or simply an indication that the volume traffic London is getting out of hand.
