This past weekend was a big one for tossed caps and teary goodbyes, as grads all over the country celebrated commencement. Yesterday at George Washington University, a particularly stunning speaker — Scandal-star and GWU-alumnus Kerry Washington — brought her own special message of inspiration and encouragement. First, she delivered a few wry jokes about GWU's rivalry with Georgetown and name-dropped some campus hotspots to prove she knew her stuff, but then she got into serious Kleenex territory with this line: “You and you alone are the only person who can live the life that can write the story that you were meant to tell."
