A New Clothing Line Born From A Facebook Connection? See It Tonight

So, maybe you're not really "friends" with all of those connections on Facebook. That's okay. Perhaps you can pick up a tip or two for your next vacation — or learn about a great event happening this weekend. Or, you could collaborate on a business level like Chicago boutique owner Mallory Ulaszek (cityblue apparel & denim) and fashion designer Christina Fan of C/FAN.

The dynamic duo immediately hit it off when they met back in 2010 to discuss the potential of having C/FAN's line in Ulaszek's boutiques. Their social media connection morphed into a friendship that ultimately led to the creation of the first C/FAN for CB collection. The new line is an amalgamation of "Fan's expertise on fit with Ulaszek's modern-edgy sensibility," explains the duchess of denim.
Women of all shapes and sizes can wear this collection beautifully. Expect well-constructed dresses, tunics, button-downs, tank-tops, cardigans, and vests made in silk Crepe de Chine in colors like a brilliant red, caviar, and elephant skin. And, perfect for this time of year in Chicago, these basic pieces were designed to be layered!
But words alone cannot do this collection justice. See it for yourself — tonight — at the C/FAN for CB launch party, taking place at cityblue apparel & denim from 5 to 7 p.m. Meet the designers, sip Bacardi cocktails, and hope that you win one of the raffle giveaways. While the event is free, you must RSVP to events@bettiebombpr.com. See you there!
