Flavie and Clayton Webster of Cerre

Opened: Fall 2011

How did you get into the business?
Flavie: "We both got into it through modeling while we were living in Paris. I always had an interest in fashion — my mom is an artist and my grandmother was a seamstress. While modeling, I learned a lot from the designers I worked with; seeing the whole process, the excitement and months of preparation leading to the fashion shows gave me the desire to become a designer myself. Clayton had gone to film school and while modeling, he found that he could apply the same ideas to fashion. Plus, the history of certain houses and the craftsmanship was fascinating to him. The combination of both of us created Cerre."
