Bottega Veneta Is More Hipster Than You (This Playlist Proves It)

Fashion and music go hand-in-hand, especially when it comes to the "cooler-than-thou" game. For instance, this past season, runways played tracks from uber-indie singers and bands like Lana Del Rey, St. Vincent, and Little Joy, and uber-indie singers and bands like Lana Del Rey, St. Vincent, and Little Joy live in clothes from independent fashion darlings Gerlan Jeans, Rachel Comey, and Phillip Lim . So—we're all pretty indie and cool, right? Not as cool as Bottega Veneta, apparently, who just released a compilation album of their favorite holiday music. We consider ourselves pretty music-savvy here at R29, but we fall a little short when confronted with a playlist that includes bands we're slightly familiar with (The Heavy), obscure music we thought we were the only ones weird enough to know (the space-disco producer Lindstrom), and others we were completely clueless about (pianist Maxence Cyrin). Who knew luxury leather brands were so… hipster!? The album sells for $45 on bottegaveneta.com. The full playlist below:
