To be completely honest, with all the livestreams, Instagram snaps, and Twitter updates, you could probably experience Fashion Week on your living-room couch and be more with-it than someone who scored a press badge at Lincoln Center. There's no denying that social media is a hugely influential medium, and whoever dominates the tweets and pics has a big advantage.
Social media agency the Whispr Group put together a little analysis of the brands, designers, and trends that were the buzziest of all, and the results were more unexpected. Though it might seem that Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, or Proenza Schouler — some of NYFW's most sought-after invites — would sit at the top of the pack, it was Victoria Beckham who was not only the most-discussed designer, but also the brand that gained the most new audience members with 53k new Twitter followers.
