Band of Outsiders' Girl & Boy Explore New (Oh So Pretty!) Frontiers
There are a handful of shows we simply will not miss, even in frigid, teeth-chattering temps, and Scott Sternberg's Band of Outsiders is one of those. His relaxed approach to luxurious American sportswear and hyper-cool tailoring is something we fell in love with long ago, and with every passing collection, there's just more of Sternberg's wild mind to discover (and love).

This season, taking a detour through the American Southwest (Georgia O'Keeffe and Katharine Ross circa Butch Cassidy come to mind), both his Girl and Boy collections brought together all the Band essentials: luxe fabrics, modern femininity, and a tailored-tomboy chic. We loved all the floor-sweeping gowns, tuxedo detailing, and head-to-toe patterns done up in the finest prints we've seen in a while. While a floral puffer vest and matching gown at first seemed overdone, it wasn't long before we got the point...sometimes a little overdone ends up being just right.
