Your August Love Horoscope, Revealed

Get ready to relive the good old days. This August, romantic Venus is retrograde, making us all quite nostalgic. We could reconnect with an ex, search “the one that got away,” or take a heartwarming trip down Memory Lane with our mates. However, not all systems are go. While Venus is driving in reverse, we’re more likely to misconstrue people’s feelings. Is it a fling or the real thing? That won’t always be clear. But, remember, with Jupiter heading into precise, particular Virgo for a year on August 11, we can afford to be more selective. Only the best, dahhhlings, only the best.

Aries Love Forecast

Is this passion or merely drama? There’s a thin line between the two this August. With five planets checking into your flamboyant fifth house, you want attention! Luckily, there’s plenty of it coming your way. Dress up, dance on the bar, and right swipe liberally. Just keep your cards close to your chest. With Venus in retrograde all month, you could misread signals, confusing a fling for the real thing. Be patient (never an easy feat for restless Aries), and keep your options open until mutual trust is earned. A promising candidate appears with the new moon on the 14th.

Coupled rams need more playtime together this month. Take a break from the movie-marathon nights to refresh your date-night queue. But, remember: A serious relationship does not have to be heavy. Try reverting to dates that make you feel like a kid again. And, did we mention? August may just bring a proposal or pregnancy.

Your Beauty Forecast: Ombré Liner
To get the look, use your fingers to apply a subtle, pink-toned cream eyeshadow to your entire lid. Start your ombré line with deep-blue eyeliner at the outer corner, then switch to a brighter-blue liner for the area under the colored part of your eye. Complete the line with a white cream eyeshadow applied with an angled brush to your lower waterline. For defined lashes that won’t overpower your ombré, sweep on just a touch of mascara, and then fill in your brows with a pencil. Finish your look with light contouring just underneath your cheekbones and a rich, flesh-toned lip color.

To get the nails, start with a healthy layer of basecoat or use a two-in-one nail color that contains one. Then, paint all your nails with white polish. Once dry, take two sections of tape for each nail, and place them at diagonal angles starting at the middle of your cuticle, marking off a downward-pointing triangle. Paint the triangular shape on each nail with a red-orange polish. Finish with topcoat.
