Local Designer Anna Fong Pops Up At The Silver Room This Weekend

Picture 5
Now that Memorial Day has passed, it’s time to stop feeling iffy about wearing white. Chicago designer Anna Fong knows a thing or two about white blouses, as she's created an entire collection based on these demure little numbers. Lucky for us, you can shop Anna’s line of pearly tunics and much more this Saturday at her pop-up shop at The Silver Room. A Columbia College alumna, Anna was nominated as the 2008 Rising Star by Fashion Group International, in addition to winning various awards in her field. Anna draws inspiration from film, art, photography, and '40s and '80s fashion to blend classic design with bohemian and ethnic details. At the pop-up, guests will also get a chance to vote on their favorite Anna Fong T-shirt, and a portion of shop sales will go to the International Justice Mission, a human rights agency that brings rescue to victims of violent oppression. Clear your calendar ladies, nothing can trump supporting a great cause while checking out an award-winning Chicago designer.
When: Saturday, June 2 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Where: The Silver Room; 1442 N. Milwaukee Avenue (corner of Evergreen Street and Milwaukee Avenue); 773-278-7130.
