2016's Most Instagrammed Buys Are A Feast For The Eyes

If you can't help but think about how an item of clothing will look in a photo before you press "purchase," you're not alone. We'll admit it: Instagram has affected the way we shop, and since we're bound to #OOTD a majority of what we wear, we can't help but consider an item's aesthetic (read: photo-worthy) appeal when shopping.

Really, it goes both ways: Certain items just beg to be 'grammed. Whether it's a piece from an on-trend brand, a loud statement-maker you can't help but show off, or a must-have designer collaboration, this year, we saw a wide range of clothing and accessories fill up our feeds — meaning, you couldn't scroll through Instagram in 2016 without seeing at least one of these items. Ahead, we've rounded up the pieces we saw over and over again in 2016. Take a scroll down Insta-memory lane, and let us know below: What do you think will be the must-'gram buys of 2017?

Never has a pair of jeans become more covetable, exclusive, or swoon-worthy than Vetements' two-toned option. They were a favorite of the street style set, which means they were likely all over your Instagram feed, too.

If you were lucky enough to get your hands on something from the Kenzo collaboration with H&M, you better believe you took an #OOTD in it.

This ruffled top has us dreaming of a warm weather vacation. And even though we saw it on basically every blogger under the sun, we still want one for ourselves.

Athleisure may have dominated 2016, but no athleisure brand stole the spotlight more than Outdoor Voices. It makes the kind of workout gear you want to wear all the time, you know?

Leave it to Man Repeller to design an insanely photo-worthy shoe collection for Net-A-Porter. Lots of metallics, embellishments, and crazy colors mean lots of images to go around.

Never underestimate the power of some classic black Vans. They were everyone's star sneakers this year.

Who doesn't want a beach bag with a little personality? These custom carryalls by Poolside, clad with quirky catchphrases and rap lyrics, were a summer must (though, let's be honest, we're not ashamed to break ours out in the winter, too).

The teen crowd ate up these "Cherry Baby" tees by stylist Vanna Youngstein. Only Gen Z.

Naturally this H&M teddy coat sold out before we could even double-tap it. How good does it look?

Any Gucci bag was worth an Instagram this year, really. But, bonus points for that coveted double-G number.

Do Yeezy's really need an explanation? There were enough photos of them thanks to giveaways and raffles, never mind the lucky souls who actually scored a pair to photograph all day every day.

Did Miuccia Prada design these Miu Miu flats solely for street style's sake? We think yes. (And we love it).
