Morgan Freeman’s Step-Granddaughter Found Stabbed To Death

Update: The New York Post is reporting that the fatal stabbing of E'Dena Hines may have been part of an attempted exorcism by her boyfriend Lamar Davenport. A witness has alleged that while stabbing Hines, the killer was yelling, "Get out, devils! I cast you out, devils! In the name of Jesus Christ, I cast you out!" Davenport has been charged with murder.

E'Dena Hines, the 33-year-old step-granddaugher of actor Morgan Freeman, was found fatally stabbed in New York City Sunday morning, People reports. Officers found E'Dena lying outside her home on W. 162nd Street around 3 a.m. with multiple stab wounds to her torso, according to an NYPD statement given to People. She was then taken to Harlem Hospital where was eventually pronounced dead. A 30-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene, and police are still investigating what happened to the New York University Graduate Acting Program student. E'Dena's grandmother was Morgan's first wife. Our thoughts are with the Freeman family during this difficult time. We'll update this sad, scary story as we learn more.
