Gwyneth Paltrow Is Launching Goop Skin Care, Naturally

Goop queen Gwyneth Paltrow is continuing her quest for world domination with the launch of an all-natural skin-care line. The six-piece collection will be a partnership with Juice Beauty, and will come to a web browser near you in January — just in time to start 2016 on a Goop note.

The rumors about Paltrow's foray into organic beauty have been circulating for some time now, but Racked has finally confirmed more deets. Blair Lawson, the former head of merchandising and product development at Beautycounter, a brand with the mission to "get safe products in the hands of everyone," is now the head of beauty content at Goop and will be at the helm of this endeavor.

Lawson notes that Goop's beauty line will stand out among other website-spawned collections, like Glossier (Into the Gloss). "We're trying to position Goop as an authority in the clean-beauty space," she told Racked. "The way we paved the way for organic food, we are paving the way for non-toxic beauty products. We're also trying to create more content that educates the consumer. It's what Goop does best: Our content demystifies things."

Makes sense, as the site is a huge supporter of all-organic-everything (just check out its love letter to non-toxic beauty). And Paltrow has quite the background in organic beauty, serving as the creative director of Juice Beauty and collaborating with facialist Sonya Dakar on a collection of beauty oils. But now, the actress is taking the Goop empire to a whole new level.

The products in the line are still TBD, but if they don't end up with names like "Skin Goop" and "Eye Goop," Gwyneth is missing out on some genius marketing. #JustSaying

Refinery29 reached out to Goop for comment, but has not yet heard back.
