Pink Addresses Body Shaming In Badass Interview

Pink has zero time for your bullshit. It may have been evident before in her songs and music videos. But, just in case there was any confusion, she laid it all out in a new interview. When talking to Entertainment Tonight, the singer's low tolerance for negative sentiment came up.  "I don't take well to bullying," she said. "I never have. I'm not a person that will be bullied. I'm not a person that will stand by watching other people bullied." It seems like Pink was specifically addressing body-shaming comments — not an uncommon battle for any woman living in the public eye. And, though she's a tough cookie, she was also reminding people that she's got feelings, too. "People think I take no shit and I'm tough, tougher than nails, but I'm a human being," she told ET.  The best nugget from this interview? No one cares what trolls have to say. "I think people have gotten it wrong. They think their opinion matters and holds weight and I don't know where or why they're giving themselves so much credit, you know?" she added. "So, I thought it was important for me to remind them that I don't care. My life is full, I like food a lot and I really like to cook, I like to live, I find joy in that and we're doing all right in the Hart household." Dealing with haters is hard — and downright annoying. But, as Pink pointed out, it's part of the journey that makes success so much sweeter. "Unless you've been dragged through the dirt, it doesn't really make it worth it when you get to the top."
