Lollapalooza 2015 Lineup Announced: More Florence For All!

There are people who love Lollapalooza so much, the three-day tickets sold out on Tuesday, long before the fest's lineup announcement this morning. Now that we know who'll be playing, the rest of us have a shot at single-day tickets to catch a typically eclectic mix of artists. Paul McCartney, Florence and the Machine, Metallica, Sam Smith, and the Alabama Shakes are among the headliners playing in Chicago from July 31 through August 2.

The Weeknd, Tyler, the Creator, Charli XCX, TV on the Radio, Gary Clark Jr., alt-J, ASAP Rocky, Kid Cudi, and FKA twigs are also among the acts announced. We know which days each act is scheduled to play, but not their set times. The real dilemma begins when you eventually discover that you'll be torn between a huge nostalgia act and the next big thing (already, it looks like McCartney and The Weeknd are going up opposite each other) — or two next big things at the same time.

What we recommend is actually attending two festivals this summer. Many of the same acts are playing BonnarooCoachellaGovernor's Ball, or Firefly this year (Florence, you are tireless!) — though there's much less overlap than we've seen in years past. If you are a regular human being with limited time and money, however, well, Chicago is a great town for partying.
