John Legend recently sang, "That’s why Rosa sat on the bus/That’s why we walk through Ferguson with our hands up," on a track written for the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr biopic, Selma. And, now, he and his wife, model Chrissy Teigen, are supporting protestors directly.
The couple reportedly paid for an assortment of food trucks (including Kimchi Tacos, Nuchas, and Milk macaroni & cheese) to hand out free meals to Eric Garner supporters (some of whom have been camped out for days) at Lincoln Center. Although the duo did not publicly announce their involvement up front, Teigen did tweet: "@KimchiTruck @johnlegend wish we could be there!! thank you for being a part of it," in response to a tweet thanking the celeb duo for their support. Teigen also noted that all leftover food was donated to the homeless. (Vanity Fair)
