Kesha's lawsuit against her producer Dr. Luke has taken an unexpected turn. TMZ, which has been all over the story since breaking it earlier this month, has unearthed a 2011 deposition in which Kesha swore under oath that Dr. Luke never did any of the things he's been accused of.
The deposition in question stemmed from a courtroom battle with the music management company, DAS, which sued Kesha for upwards of $14 million after she rescinded on a deal with them and returned to Dr. Luke, with whom she had signed with a decade earlier.
According to legal papers filed in response to the suit, Kesha claimed that she "was fortunate to have the attention and support of Dr. Luke."

She also denied any wrongdoing on Dr. Luke's behalf, which included having any kind of intimate relationship with her producer, saying that "Dr. Luke never made sexual advances to me."
The deposition could be the key to determining whether Kesha's recent allegations against Dr. Luke will hold up in court. The singer has claimed that Dr. Luke forced her to take drugs, and sexually assaulted her when her defenses were down, after which she awoke in his bed naked and in pain, with zero memory of how she ended up there.
Kesha's attorney, Mark Geragos, insists that his client's 2011 denials were as a result of multiple threats from Dr. Luke. "In every courtroom in every county, in battered women type of cases, you have equivocal statements of 'I don't know.' This is part and parcel of sexual abuse," Geragos added.
The judge decided that the deposition's contents were relevant enough to officially unseal it, despite Gegaros calling it "a pathetic attempt to once again blame the victim."
We'll have more on this story as it develops. (TMZ)
