We first took note of Jake Lacy during his brief stint at Dunder Mifflin on the final season of The Office
. Earlier this summer, he shed his Scranton roots to play the charming one-night stand of R29 fave Jenny Slate
in NYC-set Obvious Child
, a.k.a. the smartest rom-com we've seen in a long while. And, because Brooklyn looked so good on him, it seems he's decided to stay. Entertainment Weekly
is reporting that Lacy has secured a recurring role on HBO's chronicle of the outer-borough millennial, Girls.
Lacy will be joining fellow new cast members Desiree Akhavan
, Zachary Quinto
, and Maude Apatow
for the show's fourth season. Few details have been released about his role, other than that he'll be a recurring character. But, we could totally see Marnie falling for this guy. He's a little bit of a Charlie, no? Still, if we had our pick, we'd have him romantically involved with Shoshanna — emojis and all. (Entertainment Weekly
