Disney Channel's Boy Meets World spinoff Girl Meets World has been in development for almost 18 months now, and now Instagrammed on-set photos prove that it's not all a dream. The sitcom — which, face it, you secretly helped will into existence — will focus on Riley Matthews, the daughter of the ultimate '90s high school couple, Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence, who (somewhat suddenly) married as college students in the show's final season.
Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel will be reprising their roles as Cory and Topanga. Their daughter Riley will be played by Spy Kids: All The Time In The World star Rowan Blanchard. Jane Lynch might make a cameo. Show creator, Michael Jacobs, has even extended an open invitation to the entire original cast. "Whoever wants to be part of this show will be and whoever wants to move on will," he said last year in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. According to E! Online that will include the youngest of the Matthews brothers, Joshua. He'll be the cool uncle to Cory and Topanga's kids. (Vintage footage alert: Here's a clip of when Joshua was born. Now don't you feel old?).
Though we don't yet know their official Girl Meets World involvement, former stars Maitland Ward (Rachel McGuire) and Trina McGee (Angela Moore) were on set recently and shared some behind-the-scenes photos. Click through to see the reunited gang in action!
