Inside Karen Elson’s Shoppable Charity Soiree!

We'd all love the chance to shop Karen Elson's closet. And, luckily, our wish has been granted. Last night, the stunning Ms. Elson, Liz Goldwyn, and Vogue's Tonne Goodman hosted an event for Vintage Vanguard benefiting Dress For Success (a nonprofit that provides disadvantaged women with the tools and resources necessary to secure economic independence). Goldwyn and Elson opened their imitable vintage archives and allowed top designers to refashion the frocks. Zac Posen, Marc Jacobs, Thakoon, rag & bone, and Creatures of the Wind, among others from the Vintage Vanguard, helped create a past-meets-present (one-day-meets-our-future-closet) collection that partygoers could bid on.
Tennessee Thomas spun throw-back tunes and guests sipped cocktails while browsing the one-of-a-kind dresses that were on display at The Jane Hotel. Ms. Elson ended the evening with an affecting acoustic performance. But, don't worry if you couldn't make it out. You can still bid on all of the creations for a few more days on Moda Operandi. Click through for a peek inside last night's intimate event and bid your heart out. It's for a good cause, after all.
