Jennifer Lawrence At The Golden Globes: "I Need To Catch Up On My Drinking"

Yep, she said it. As your super-flaky best friend who still always remembers to call you on your birthday, Jennifer Lawrence did more than create a meme, win an award, photobomb Taylor Swift, and indulge in a lil' PDA last night. She treated the press to more of her patented, wonderfully unguarded Lawrencisms. Here are some of her best quotes from the night.
On winning big at a young age.
"It’s kind of unbelievable, really genuinely unbelievable, can’t really process it. It is just such a huge honor, just amazing. I guess that’s at every age, though, I assume. You’ve got to interrupt me, or I’ll just keep carrying on."
On her post-Globes celebrations.
"I need to catch up on my drinking. I believe that’s why I was so manic. Normally, I have time to have a glass of wine. That’s not a good answer. Tonight, I am going to celebrate with my friends and family. So interrupt — quick, quick, quick!"
Is being the "toast of Hollywood" daunting?
"No, not daunting until you guys get sick of me, and that will happen — it’s okay. I’ll understand. No, it’s really just kind of incredible. I have no idea what I’m doing here. It just feels insane. This is crazy. Interrupt, interrupt!"
On wanting to direct.
"My passion for directing happened at the same time as my acting on my first movie. I do want to direct, but I don’t want to suck, so I want to keep learning, and I am learning from the best."
On ethics.
"Don’t be a follower, and always do the right thing. Yeah, like, if you have the choice between the right thing and the wrong thing, the right way is always less stressful."
On staying grounded in Hollywood.
"I've got a good group of friends that I have had for a very long time and we all like doing the same thing, which is not really what the tabloids like writing about. And, then I have an amazing family, and I am just always busy working. I don’t have time to get into trouble!"
And, there you go. The pal who still has you over to watch Troop Beverly Hills once a month, Jennifer Lawrence, is just a normal, busy gal who loves her friends and family and could really use a glass of wine. What better role model could one ask for?
