We thought we'd reached the end of Instagram's holiday nail-art universe last week when we went through essentially all of it to compile the most festive nail-spiration. Well, friends, over the weekend Rihanna went ahead and posted a nail situation so full of holiday spirit, we can confidently say that she's won Christmas.
So, how'd she do it? First of all, that sparkly green and red ombré is out-of-control gorgeous. There's just something about a glamorous green nail that has an oddly appealing lizard/princess effect. Of course, that's not all at play here. Her non-ombré nails are painted plum and decorated with tiny winter decals. Sure, a snowman and a candy cane on one hand might look like too much on some people, but this is Rihanna we're talking about. What can't she pull off?
It's her rings, though, that are really keeping this manicure solidly grounded in edgy territory. By integrating a whole ton of truly fabulous gold jewelry, she's making sure there's nothing cheesy about that tiny snowman on her nail. In fact, it's probably the hippest tiny snowman we've ever seen.
