From Elsa Schiaparelli's faux-bow sweater to Mary Katrantzou's photo-print frocks, we've always loved fashion that fools the eye. And, as of last night, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley truly earned her place in the trompe l'oeil hall of fame with the Antonio Berardi pantsuit she wore to the British Fashion Awards. We're gonna pause for a moment while you scroll up, behold the hotness in the photo above, and let us repeat this for you: This woman. Is wearing. A pantsuit.
Yep, the pantsuit, that much-maligned uniform of CPAs and — ahem — potentially future presidents alike, is taking a seriously sexy turn here. What we originally thought was a daringly short miniskirt paired with black, thigh-high boots is actually sleek, suiting separates that manage to be demure (er, at least from the waist down) and daring all at once. Bravo to Huntington-Whiteley for bringing shut-it-down hotness to the item of clothing most likely to be purchased hastily at Marshalls before a job interview or funeral. That sound you hear is us, slow-clapping.
