Marni’s FW ’13 Video Would Make Grey Gardens’ Little Edie Proud

We thought all our birthdays had come at once when we received the video for the runway label's FW '13 collection, entitled "The Gray Garden." Could another passion of ours,
Grey Gardens, be influencing our favorite fashion label ever? Actually, no. But, the more we watch the video and look at the collection's signature looks — voluminous shawls, forest-print dresses, and boxy jackets — the more we see Little Edie Bouvier Beale in them all. In fact, we'd go so far as to say that if she was with us today, she would love this label as much as we do, too. Heck, Beale's iconic jumper-worn-as-turban would be the perfect finishing touch for each and every one of these looks.
