We can't decide what's more exciting: The fact that there's going to be an Elton John biopic or the fact that Tom Hardy is going to be playing the famed singer. For anyone who hasn't already jumped on the Hardy train, get ready to have a brand new man crush in your life. The actor has appeared in blockbuster flicks like Inception and This Means War, but he really sharpened his teeth as the terrifying Bane in The Dark Knight Rises. Oh, and did we mention that he's totally adorable.
The film is currently titled Rocketman, and will chronicle the singer's epic story, from childhood to John's early career and his rocket-fueled rise to fame. And, the best part? Elton himself will rerecord some of his biggest hits for the film's soundtrack. Rocketman isn't slated to start shooting until fall of 2014, so we've got a long wait ahead of us — but, we're pretty sure it'll all be worth it. (Entertainment Weekly)
