Carson Daly is nothing if not unflagging. We all know him as the host of The Voice and Last Call. But he's also a past and current radio personality, record label owner, and former aspiring priest, believe it or not. Now he can now add a new line to his resume: co-hosting the Today show. Starting September 16, Daly will be the face of the new Orange Room, "a space that connects the show and the audience like never before," according to Today. We're guessing that translates to some kind of new social media-influenced segment, in which viewers will be able to weigh in on the show in real time. Daly will continue in his posts at The Voice, beginning a new season on September 23, and Last Call. That translates to very little sleep is in his future.
“Everything I’ve done in my career up until this point has trained me for Today," said Daly in the official announcement. "The interviews, the live TV, the live radio, it all gets paid off." And for some of us, he'll always be a radio host before anything else. Big ups to anyone who remembers Daly's pre-TRL days, when he was just a young voice on California's alt-rock station KOME.
