Fasten your royal seatbelts. It’s finally happening! The palace has announced this morning that the Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted to St. Mary’s hospital in the early stages of labour — Baby Royal is officially on its way.
Driven in by car at 6 a.m. BST today, with the doting Daddy-to-be at her side, Kate is said to be “comfortable,” despite being more than a week overdue. In line with tradition, the Duchess is following in other royal footsteps by giving birth at the same hospital in which Diana delivered Prince William.
This is certain to be thrilling news for the world’s media, who’ve been camped out since the turn of the calendar page; the Queen, who’s set to go on holiday next week; and the gynae, who’s been stalling his retirement. And we're pretty excited, too — if we're being totally honest. But just remember: No announcement of the birth will be delivered until the Queen, the senior Royals, and the Middletons have been informed. Watch this space — and Kate, just breathe. (Telegraph)
