Model Mimics A Still Life, Throws Up Deuces For Valentino

Models have the very special gift of making everything they wear look amazing. But, after a while, standing in front of a camera can just get exhausting. It takes an especially cool kind of on-camera pro to switch it up when things get stale, and thankfully, one was on hand for the just-released shots of the Valentino fall '13 campaign.
Lenses by the incomparable duo, Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the newest snaps for the storied fashion house were released this morning on WWD and feature Sasha Luss throwing up deuces — a first for a Valentino ad, we're sure — in a collared, floral minidress and striking cobalt clutch. Placed side-by-side with a still-life setting and referencing Flemish portraiture, according to WWD, we're not sure if Luss is passing on a bit of good juju, getting ready to blow this popsicle stand, or working on her own rendition of an Alanis Morissette song called "Hand In My Pocket(book)."
