This Site Could Change Everything You Believe About Vintage Shopping

In case you weren’t already spending enough time and money shopping online, designer-vintage emporium Elvira Vintage is here to take your e-commerce addiction to the next level. Yes, the vintage mecca and birth child of Tori Steinberg and Sophie Scrimgeour is about to go digital, as the pair set their sights on becoming the next Net-A-Porter.
The duo, who met in their teens and both studied fashion design at Central Saint Martins, scour the globe for one-off vintage finds. A London pop-up has been offering locals the chance to shop their well-edited selection, and now, thanks to the launch of their e-commerce site, everyone can get their mitts on a spot of vintage Valentino.
Elvira Vintage’s carefully edited collection aims to complement present trends and work with contemporary wardrobes. Speaking out about the digital direction, Steinberg reveals, "Visually, every product is presented in a way that shows our viewer how they can blend vintage pieces into the average high-street-heavy wardrobe.” She adds, “Each piece has a story and has been discovered with a careful eye." So, between this and Net-A-Porter, consider your 4 p.m. slump sorted. (Vogue)
