Apparently, this has been going on for a week or so, and no one has told us (thanks, Internet, for letting us down...), but Conan O'Brien has his hands on some comedic gold. The celebrator of all things ginger and geeky has assembled a couple of incredibly famous directors' takes on the new Star Wars franchise, which is set to be launched by Disney. Seeing as such a high-profile (and beloved...by this writer, at least) series is getting a new master, O'Brien decided to share the clips of the "directors" who are "trying out" to helm the franchise. Kind of.
Check out the takes from iconic auteurs like Woody Allen, Wes Anderson, Kevin Smith, and many others. The late-night-show host keeps releasing the tapes, and they seem to just get better and better — with today's (Anderson) probably being the best. See for yourself...

ABC Afterschool Specials didn't put out any new episodes after the mid-90s, but their legacy lives on. Informing the comical awfulness of Very Special Episodes and television gems like 7th Heaven's take on the demon marijuana, they made serious, important issues wonderfully goofy.
