Melissa McCarthy Has Better Things To Think About Than Her Ideal Weight

Between J.Hud and Kelly Osbourne, losing weight seems to be a cinch in Hollywood. But, let's remember: With moolah to spare, these ladies (among countless others), are able to invest in personal trainers and chefs, which us normal folk typically can't afford. So, when glimpsing at a glossy tabloid, it's always important to keep it in check — when was the last time a Wolfgang Puck-trained cook whipped up steamed white fish and broccoli when you had the munchies?
Well, not everyone in Tinseltown is having an easy time shedding the excess pounds. Melissa McCarthy (a true beauty inside and out), opened up to Good Housekeeping about her struggles with weight loss. Although she claims to be "weirdly healthy" (no soda, no sweet tooth, and a junk-food-free fridge), she does wish she could magically be a size six. But, the Bridesmaids star doesn't beat herself up over it — she wouldn't want to pass that negative self image onto her two young daughters. So, we say: Kudos all around, McCarthy! Inner peace is a rare find in this day and age, and we're all about promoting a healthy body image.

During the interview, McCarthy also brought up another interesting point — everyone she knows, no matter what size, is trying to fix something. Her advice? Focus on the positive and say to yourself, "It's pretty damn good. I am right here at the moment and I'm okay with it. I've got other things to think about." Amen to that, sister! (US Weekly)
