Kate Middleton’s Head Mysteriously Appears On Marie Claire South Africa

It's no secret that not all international mags are lucky enough to get the major cover stars we enjoy here in the U.S. But, the old adage does not apply: If you can't make it, you probably shouldn't fake it. Marie Claire South Africa thought it was a clever idea to slap Kate Middleton's head on a model's body for a cover story on African designers. We might be late to the party on this, but it's completely crazy, and we think it deserves some serious thought.
Marie Claire isn't even pretending she really posed, and they interviewed the model on being Kate Middleton's body double (apparently having someone else's head Photoshopped onto her body reminded her that a princess resides in all of us). We love that the mag is covering local fashion designers, but isn't it counterintuitive (and perhaps slightly off-color) to use a British princess to model South African designs? We would have loved to see a local style star modeling local designs, and we can't help but wonder whether South African women would prefer to see more coverage of their fellow countrywomen. (People)
What do you think of this Photoshop job? Stupid, silly, or a means to an end?
