Cheap Thrills: New Wear and Tear Jewels Get Crafty

wear_tear_jewelry_instory1
Sure, we feature loads of jewelry lines here, but nothing has evoked such sweet nostalgia for us as Daydream Nation's new endeavor, Wear and Tear. Reminiscent of those sparkly plastic lanyard bracelets we crafted at summer camp, designer Cheung Lik 's luxe braided creations are unmistakably cool versions of those long-gone projects. Whether woven between gold chains for a delicate yet tough necklace or simply wrapped around the wrist, the grown-up leather looks make for the perfect "artistic wearing object," as Lik likes to call them. Unlike those childhood creations of yore, however, these exquisite pieces are built to last.
Wear and Tear Weaving Tape Suede Necklace, $82, and Weave Tape Suede Bracelet, $55, are available at Pixie Market.
