Nothing gets us more in the mood for a carefree summer than listening to the lo-fi sounds of Best Coast, run by Bethany Cosentino and her bandmate Bobb Bruno. It's been a year since Best Coast's hit album Crazy For You debuted last summer, but as much as we love the band, we love NYC too much to admit that the West Coast is really where it's at. Now, it's up to you to decide! We were honored to hear that Bethany is a big fan of Refinery29, so in paying homage to the bestie band duo, we've teamed up for an extra-special giveaway. Five winners will receive a limited-edition, exclusive iTunes recording session on vinyl—only 200 were made, and none are available for purchase (except digitally, where you can do that here!). The record was made in East West Studios, the very place where legends like The Beach Boys and The Mamas & The Papas recorded some of their odes to SoCal. To enter, all you have to do is write a mini-manifesto explaining which coast (East, West...Southern, "The Great Lakes Coast...") is really best. And if you're really lucky, Bethany and Bob might just go Crazy For You, too!
