Rarely do we get this excited about a designer profile in an expensive overseas 'zine (before you know it, there goes your rent on glossies!). That's not to say we don't appreciate these enlightening portraits of the most brill minds in the biz — but this time,
Vogue Italia
did things a bit differently (when have they ever not?).
With its latest alluring promo, the mag has stepped outside the standard spread and ventured into the world of video. The teaser was filmed in L.A., clocks in at about two minutes, and depicts Brit designer Richard Nicoll being bound and gagged by two hot models that are dressed to kill. Clad in his flouncy dresses, metallic heels, and masks reminiscent of beekeepers, these ladies make ass-kicking criminal behavior look like a life we could lead (JK!!!).
Loaded with a pulse-pounding, very sadomasochistic plot, racy up-skirt shots, and a bizarre-twist ending, this off-the-wall approach is one for the books. Watch the video, and we bet you'll be willing to sacrifice breakfast on buying the mag!
